Nice Start to Season at Watertown

State Meet Sees a 5’TH Place Finish

Congratulations to the boys for another top 5 finish at the State Cross Country Championships. On a cold, cloudy day, the boys raced hard to earn another excellent team result. There were several individual highlights among the boys. Zach Temple finished 4’TH overall running a personal best time of 15:40 on the challenging Ridges Cross Country course. Zach’s finish is the best individual result in the past 8 years. Not to be outdone, Eli Pettit improved on his personal best time by 16 seconds to finish 19’TH overall and earn an All State honor. The scoring was rounded out by Truman White (66), Jonah Simonson (76), and Basil Keck (91). As always, it was an exciting and challenging race.

On To State!

The team picked a good day to run one of their best races of the year. With a solid 47 second 1 – 5 time split, the team scored 32 points to win the Verona Sectional and advance to the State Championship next week. The State Meet will be run at the Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids on Saturday Oct. 28. The boys will compete against the best in the State at 1:10pm. Congrats to team! Full results are posted on the results page.

WET COLD DAY AT CONFERENCE

Thriving in the tough conditions, the Varsity was lead by Zach Temple (2), Eli Pettit (7), Jonah Simonson (9), Luke O’Neil (10) and Basil Keck (26). The JV1 featured the overall race winner Truman White, followed by August Peters (2), Owen Cooney (6), Nate Schwoerer (9), and Walt Strange (12).
