Strong showings across all three races led to fast times on a hot day in Janesville! The JV Blue race kicked off the day with a team win. Ben (69th), Ryan (27th), Freddie (14th), Colin (13th), Owen (12th), Danny (11th), and August (2nd) rounded out the scoring. In the Varsity race, the boys faced stiff competition, finishing 7th with Summit (114th), Timon (98th), Steven (86th), Ruben (58th), Jasper (57th), Clay (37th), and Nathan (32nd) leading the charge. In the JV White race, Jose (165th), Orrin (120th), Sammy M. (117th), Sam G., (115th), Kieran (60th), Javi (49th), and Niles (38th) raced hard for a strong showing. Congrats to everyone, and onto Parkside!

The boys ran fast times on a muddy course at the Marquette Invite. JV scored just about as few points as you can, with Dez (22nd), Nathan (21st), Ryan (6th), Joe (5th), Owen (3rd), Colin (2nd), and Freddie (1st!) leading the charge for 17 points total. On the Varsity side, the boys faced top-ranked teams, finishing 3rd overall. Summit (34th), Timon (30th), Stevie (23rd), Ruben (22nd), Jasper (20th), Clay (15th), and Nathan (7th) rounded out the scoring. And yes, we went to Kopp’s afterwards. Onto Midwest!

Despite being a little short-handed on both the varsity and JV races, the guys stepped up for some great races! The varsity squad finished in a solid 3rd place with 97 points, with Colin Ruchala (48th), Danny Hegeman (35th), Jasper Darley (27th), Summit Todd (24th), Timon Cantley (22nd), August Peters (21st), and Clay Elmore (3rd!) all running great races. Clay moves on to the senior all-time list next to some other quite notable names. JV took care of business, putting 4 in the top 7. Joe (24th), Dez (20th), Eddie (18th), Freddie (7th), Ryan (5th), Hunter (3rd), and Stevie (1st!) all ran great races in the heat. Congrats to all runners! Special shout-out to the seniors, who had particularly strong races.

A great morning for running led to some great racing from Madison West! The varsity squad finished in 2nd place with 148 points. All 7 runners either maintained their position or moved up places in the last kilometer. Danny (83rd), Jasper (57th), Timon (49th), Ruben (48th), Summit (35th), Clay (14th), and Nathan (2nd) all had strong performances. On the JV side, the boys won the team battle, scoring 31 points and putting 4 runners in the top 10! Walter (28th), Freddie (15th), Joe (12th), Ryan (8th), Hunter (5th), Colin (4th), and August (2nd) led the way for the JV squad. Congrats to everyone, and onto River Valley!

Strong season opener at Watertown! The boys finished 2nd with 57 points, 19 points behind Verona. The team was focused and determined during the race, and lots of good highlights from top to bottom. Nate (1st!), Clay (6th), Timon (15th), Ruben (16th), and Summit (19th) were our five scorers today, with Jasper (31st) and Danny (33rd) rounding out our top 7. Congrats to everyone on a solid rust-buster and a good team finish!

Next week we are at Verona, where there will be both a varsity and junior varsity race. See you then!

The first day of practice will be Monday August 18th at 8am. UPDATE: We will meet at the far end of the “track” on the corner of Grand Ave. and Regent Street. Make sure you’ve completed your registration via Infinite Campus and submitted your physical to Ms. Natalie. Please bring a water bottle!

The team had an excellent day at the State Meet at Ridges Golf Course. Their 6’TH place finish is something to be proud of. The boys moved steadily through the pack of runners, improving the team standing from 9’TH at 3200 to 6’TH at the finish. The team beat a number of the top teams in the state finishing better than some of teams that had bested us earlier in the season.

The team was lead by Nate Schwoerer (24’TH/13’TH team), Mason Brosious (27’TH/16’TH team), August Peters (68’TH/43’RD team), Clay Elmore (70’TH/44’TH team), Liam Culp (75’TH/49’TH team), Isaac Mozena (101’ST/64’TH team), and Owen Cooney (132’ND/88’TH team). The small 32 second split between our first and fifth scorer reinforced how well the boys raced as a team. Congrats to all!!

The team took care of things at the Verona Sectional, finishing 2’ND to qualify for this year’s State Championship at Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids.

Nate Schwoerer (4), Mason Brosious (6), and Liam Culp (9) all finished in the top 10 to lead the team. Owen Cooney (21), Clay Elmore (22), Isaac Mozena (23), and August Peters (26) all finished within 12 seconds to clinch our qualifying berth. The boys continued the success of our previous teams, qualifying as a team for the 19’TH time in the past 22 years. Congratulations!! Well done!

Boys win all three races at the Conference Meet. Varsity win by a slim 1 point margin in a super competitive race. JV1 wins by 8, while JV2 scores a perfect 15 points in their win. Many boys finish their season with great racing on a perfect weather day.

A beautiful day of racing was highlighted by wins in both the Varsity and JV races. The Varsity race came down to a tight battle up the finishing straight. Our guys raced past a number of competitors to deliver a true team victory. The team was lead by Nathan Schowoerer (4), Liam Culp (5), Mason Brosious (7), Clay Elmore (12) and August Peters (13).

The JV race was also hotly contested. Isaace Mozena was the individual champion. He was followed closely by Joe Hegeman (3), Walt Strange (6), Hunter Shadman (7), Stevie Kuemmel (10), Leo Lee (11), and Danny Hegeman (12).

Many boys ran season’s best or lifetime best times. Well done all!
