The boys got the competition season off to a great start at the large Verona Invitational with both the Varsity and JV posting nice wins over the 31 team field. Varsity was lead by Zach Temple (2), Liam Culp (10), Eli Pettit (19), Jonah Simonson (30), and Peter Negrut (43).
JV was lead by overall winner Luke O’Neil (1), Owen Cooney (6), Basil Keck (7), Clay Elmore (11) and Walt Strange (14).
Many team members ran their first Cross Country race ever on the challenging Verona Course. Congrats to all. Next meet is Saturday Sept. 9 at the River Valley Invitational in Spring Green, WI.
